WASTE AUDITING

The First Step to Minimizing Waste

Waste Audit Ontario

Waste management means minimizing your garbage. Waste auditing is the best way to start.

Waste auditing is the most important step towards effective waste management. You've got to understand how much and what kind of waste you're generating in order to plan any kind of improvements or remedial measures. Sending all the trash to the landfill is not only expensive; it's also harmful to the environment and bad for your image.

Mini Millennium Disposal Services is proficient in waste auditing. As a leading company for junk removal in Toronto and Ontario, our business success involves better managing all our garbage.

Whether you're a small landscaping business, large hotel or construction company, waste auditing will help improve your bottom line and lower your carbon footprint.

What is a waste audit?

A waste audit is a measure of the amount, nature and composition of garbage, recycling and compost you produce over a certain time period. It also takes a look at your garbage removal costs.

How will you benefit from waste auditing?

Waste auditing is an excellent way to further increase your waste diversion rate by:

  • Measuring how well existing recycling programs are working
  • Defining waste management goals
  • Identifying where existing programs can be improved
  • Ascertaining where new programs can be introduced
  • Reusing materials wherever possible
  • Reducing energy usage
  • Conserving natural resources
  • Reviewing and monitoring progress
  • Improve your LEED ratings

Besides being the law, waste audit help maximize your recycling potential, improve your "green" image and increase savings significantly.

Who needs wasting auditing?

In Ontario, waste generators who meet the following criteria must conduct an annual waste audit under Ontario Regulation 102/94.

  • Educational institution - more than 350 persons are enrolled in a calendar year
  • Hotel or motel - more than 75 units
  • Office building - At least 10,000 m2 of floor area for use as offices
